To promote Blackball Pool in Malta
The Federation will be sending a Men's and Seniors National Team to the EBA Blackball Nations Cup 2023 that will take place from Sunday 26th March till Friday 31st March at the Bridlington Spa in Yorkshire, England.
The Malta Men's National Team is composed of Johan Attard, Gary Carr, Owen Amato, Mevrick Zammit, Stephen Mangion, and 2014 World Blackball Champion Claudio Cassar, under the supervision of manager Clevion Micallef.
The Malta Seniors National Team is composed of Jesmond Schembri, Clint Grima, Christopher Demicoli, Conrad Catania, Lee Grima, and Antoine Aquilina, with Philip Gatt leading the team from the bench.
These championships will see no less than 18 nations and over 600 players from all over the world battling it for the top honors, with Mexico making their debut at the Blackball Nations Cup. In the previous edition of 2019, Malta won the Under 15 and Under 23 events in the Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
The European Blackball Championships will hit the Maltese shores for the very time this year. These prestigious championships will be held at the Dolmen Hotel from the 1st till the 8th of November 2023. Over 700 players from around Europe will be competing in these championships, with Malta being represented by a contingent of over 100 players and managers, ranging from males and females aged between under 15 and over 60 years of age, making it an event for all categories!
The Malta Blackball Federation is the governing body for Blackball Pool in Malta. Our Federation has over 500 affiliate members and organizes local events and national competitions both in singles and teams categories.
A series of the singles events are organized with the purpose of forming a national team to represent Malta on the international field, where Malta has won the following honors:

The Federation sede is situated at the Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara, where the main hall is composed of seven professional pool tables. In this hall, the Federation organizes all the national ranking tournaments, and all major team finals.
